What exactly is it that's morally wrong about Music Piracy?
Artists already have enough money, so they don't need more. Why should i have to pay to download it when its free to watch online. Why if it was so bad has no one taken it down. Its not like anyone is going to catch me.
All of these things and more are the ways that people justify downloading music illegally. However all of these things are bad reasons for downloading music in the first place. The big question is however whether or not it is morally wrong to download pirated music. And the answer is of course it is. Pirating Music is like walking into a music store and stealing a CD. Just because its a file on a computer which you can move around in seconds flat doesn't mean that it's not still stealing. If you were a small business owner and the only thing that you sold to make money was canned goods, if people just started taking those canned goods without paying for them, how would you make your money? The answer is you wouldn't. Put yourself in the artists shoes, every time you pirate music, you are stealing money from them and I'm sure you would want that banned if you were them. So step and do the right thing and stop illegally downloading and uploading music.
